Implementation Coursework
To best leverage Skills Arcade, you will apply prior knowledge from the first two on-demand courses, conference sessions, and the live webinar to complete this course. These two exercises will help you identify specific needs, set implementation goals, and craft a vision for success.
Part 1: Data Review
In completing Part 1, either form provided will be accepted as a submission, but we highly recommend leveraging both.
Review ACAP data from the past two years to identify ELA, Math, or Science trends. Use this analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement and determine how Skills Arcade can best support your school’s needs.
Use the fishbone resource from the School Needs Assessment course to outline specific metrics such as number of Skills Arcade active students (whole school), questions to be answered (school and grade level), percentage correct (school and grade level), and anticipated growth on the state assessment. As you begin the implementation of Skills Arcade, these identified goals and your metrics are easily accessed through the School Summary Report.
Reference the sample action plan as a guide, and complete the integrated action plan template provided.
Part 2: Crafting Your Vision
Based upon the goals set in part 1, use the vision template from the Vision for School Leaders course and work through the three-part process to draft a clear, actionable plan for implementing Skills Arcade in the 25-26 school year.
Combining your data review with your vision gives you a change management view that leverages the program, process, and people to effectively bring Skills Arcade to your school community.
Submitting Your Activities
Once you have completed all aspects of the course, you need to submit your implementation activities for review. Send them to [email protected] with “AL Implementation Activities” in the subject line. That one email will need to include both attachments using the following naming convention:
Lastname_Date_Data Template
LastName_Date_Vision Template
Once you have turned in your coursework, select “Mark Complete.” Then, please confirm the completion of your entire course by filling out the course evaluation. Thank you!
