This course builds upon the foundation set by Targeted Instruction 101 and considers other instructional aspects for classroom teaching.

This course examines the definition of instructional activities, the creation of those activities, and the use of assessment tasks for targeted instruction.

Kathy Kales
Teacher Trainer
Kathy Kales is an Instructional Designer at Stride. She has been an educator since 2009, having previously taught at Florida Cyber Charter Academy. As part of the Talent Development team, she brings her passion for online education to creatively help learners of all ages reach their full potential through inspired, personalized teaching.
Joel Medley
Director of Talent and Development
Joel Medley is the Director of Talent Development and Community at Stride, where he uses his experience to coach educators through leadership development. Having taught history across many levels of education, he brings knowledge of leadership in various school settings, from traditional brick-and-mortar institutions to online classrooms.
Matthew Hoppe
Instructional Designer

This was very helpful. I liked the resources and the simulation. I appreciate that there was a information on synchronous and asynchronous assessments. The Discussion or Not was helpful. Just because a student states why s/he chose an answer does not mean that is discussion. I also liked the sentence starters to increase rigor. I agree that could be helpful to increase engagement
